Why is the amount of internal combustion engine oil so large?

2019-10-24

The internal combustion engine does not burn coal, but burns petroleum. In 1876, a German technician built the first four-stroke internal combustion engine. In 1885, German engineers Daimler and Benz used internal combustion engines in cars to create a new type of vehicle, a car. Once this car came out, it defeated the steam car propelled by the steam engine. Since then, fuel-burning cars have become overlords on the road.

The internal combustion engine created a generation of "road angels"-cars, which were then used by scientists on airplanes. An aircraft using an internal combustion engine is called a piston aircraft. Because the engine of this aircraft has a cylinder and a piston, the propeller of the aircraft is driven by the movement of the piston.

Careful analysis, these internal combustion engine oils are the "biggest" in the oil family-gasoline. They are big consumers of "drinking" gasoline. For example, a Jiefang brand car consumes about 40 tons of gasoline per year. Calculate how many cars in the world, how much gasoline will be consumed in a year. From the beginning of the 1950s, oil began to replace coal as the main source of power. By the 1970s, the use of oil had risen to 78% of total energy, and coal had fallen to 17%. In 1972 alone, several Western European countries consumed 700 million tons of oil.
